VET ASSISTANTS

Kyle Scott

Originally from Brunswick County NC, Kyle grew up on the family farm where his mother was raised. He is a graduate of Cape Fear Community College with a 2 year Associate of Arts, college transfer degree. Growing up, Kyle always had an interest in horses and enjoyed riding occasionally with friends and neighbors who owned horses. In high school, he began attending hunter and western pleasure shows with a friend and soon purchased a horse of his own for pleasure riding.

 

While at Cape Fear, he began working at a saddlebred barn where he assisted the trainer and traveled with the barn to shows. Kyle joined the Reagan Equine team in September 2014 and has been attending horse shows with the team since then. In his spare time, he enjoys going on weekend rides.

Colin Frank

​Colin is originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, and began riding at the age of five on a Shetland pony. He continued riding Western through high school, developing a strong foundation in horsemanship. In 2022, he moved to North Carolina to attend the University of North Carolina Wilmington. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a pre-veterinary focus and a minor in Anthropology. Prior to joining Reagan Equine, Colin worked for a year at an Arabian barn, where he gained hands-on experience in equine care and management. He hopes to attend the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine to further his veterinary education.

Chloe Kocian

Chloe grew up in Old Orchard Beach, Maine.  She managed a hunter/ jumper barn for 5 years before moving to New York to ride under other professionals. She had developed an interest in equine medicine and started taking a college course for veterinary technology online. Recently moving to NC to pursue her career in equine medicine while she completes her associates degree. Chloe enjoys eventing, trail rides and xc schooling.

Taylor White
Taylor has 8 years of experience in veterinary medicine as a veterinary assistant. Working full time in small animal medicine and part time in large animal practice, Taylor brings a strong clinical background paired with a lifelong passion for horses. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two kids, trail riding and going to the beach.

Katey Jackson
Katey grew up riding and showing hunter/jumpers and volunteering at a therapeutic riding program. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Equine Science from Morrisville State College in Central New York.

 

She then completed an internship on the A-Circuit with a Grand Prix rider and  worked at a large Standardbred breeding farm. In 2022, she moved to New Bern, North Carolina to be a veterinary assistant for Dr. Gilmette.

 

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her three dogs & riding horses.

Kerry Ring

Kerry is from Long Island, NY. She graduated with a bachelors of science in animal science at the University of Vermont in the Patrick Leahy Honors College, with a minor in chemistry and a concentration in equine studies. Kerry developed an interest for equine chiropractics and rehabilitation.  During her college years she raised and trained service dogs. She moved to North Carolina after graduation to pursue her career in equine medicine. She enjoys horse back riding in her free time.
