Tiago Miglio
Tiago was born and raised in the interior of the State of Minas Gerais, in Brazil. His grandparents were farmers and raised horses and cattle. As he grew up on the back of a horse, his passion for these magnificent animals started at an early age. Tiago’s desire to study veterinary science led him to a city called Belo Horizonte, where he attended Veterinary College at FEAD (Faculdade de Estudos Administrativos). After graduating he started working in the field and soon got the opportunity to experience a training program with Equine reproduction in Weatherford, Texas, USA.
Once Tiago had the opportunity of working in the United States, he knew that at some point he wanted to come to live in this wonderful country. At the end of the program and back in Brazil, he took the residency test at the Brazilian Jockey Club, in Rio de Janeiro and started to work with race horses, thoroughbreds. Tiago completed his residency in Clinical Medicine and Equine Surgery at the Jockey, and was then hired and worked there for over 10 years. He then decided it was time to return to the USA, start the degree validation process and live the incredible experience of working with horses here.
