Melissa Medlin

Melissa lives in Wilmington with her husband and 3 children. She grew up in Durham, NC, spending most of her spare time trail riding and caring for her family's small herd of horses. She has always had a passion for working with horses that started at 9yrs old when her parents bought her a horse. That passion continued when Melissa assisted with the family's small breeding program, and she was given her very own foal to raise and train. Melissa was a member of the first group of riders that founded The Appalachian State Equestrian Team and competed with the first ASU IHSA show team. When she isn't busy being a mom, Melissa enjoys working part time for Reagan Equine and caring for her own horse, German Shepard, and chickens.

Kylie Taylor

Kylie began her career in the medical field as an EMT, developing strong skills in patient care. After several years in emergency and clinical settings, she realized her passion was caring for animals and transitioned into small animal general practice, where she gained hands-on experience in client communication and veterinary procedures.

Kylie recently joined the barn team and has loved stepping into the equine world. She is new to working with horses but has learned quickly, enjoys the challenges and hopes to continue building her skills. Her goal is to move into a technician role and apply to veterinary school next year.

Outside of work, Kylie enjoys painting, sewing, scuba diving, and beach combing, and loves spending time with her two cats, Beans and Gravel.

Emma Kreuger

Emma is currently a senior at Brunswick County Early College High School. After graduating, she hopes to go to NC State for animal science, and eventually go to vet school to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Emma enjoys dancing and has been on a competitive dance team since 2024. When she's not busy, Emma likes to spend time with her seven dogs and her horses, Freckles and Legend.
